I used the rod last week, and it is fantastic. Caught 25 trout on it and 2 keepers (the limit on my home waters). Have you had a chance to contact the manufacturer about the larger rod cases? Is the manufacturer Nissin (same as the rod)?

I purchased kamasu tenkara 2 years ago and I love it. Just received new hirame, tried it yesterday and I love it. Works great with sunfish and trout. Was not lucky with bass yet, will keep trying. Have never had any problem with both rods.
