Baked Salmon Ring Recipe.


Salmon is very healthy due to the it's high protein, high Omega-3 fatty acids, and high vitamin D content. Salmon flesh is usually orange to red, but could be white fleshed wild salmon. The natural colour of wild salmon is coming from eating krill and other tiny shellfish. They change the color and a meat quality when entering freshwater.
Cooked Salmon, dry heat, 1/2 fillet (5.4 oz/153g) provide 280 Calories, 39g of Protein, 0.0g of Carbohydrate, 12.5g of Total Fat, 0.0g of Fiber, 967mg of Potassium, 72mcg of Selenium, 15.5mg of Niacin and 57mg of Magnesium, 3.394 grams of omega-3 fatty acids, derived from Eicosapentaenoic Acid (0.629g), Docosahexaenoic Acid (2.186g), Alpha Lipoic Acid (0.578g).

Baked Salmon Recipe - Made with canned salmon, celery, sweet green pepper, grated Cheddar cheese, dill, and tarragon.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 ounce / 425 g) Salmon
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) sweet green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) dill
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) tarragon
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) mayonnaise
  • Enough dough for 2 (9-inch / 23-cm) pie shells
  • Reserved salmon juices or milk
  • Pinch pepper

Baked Salmon Ring Recipe

How to cook Baked Salmon Ring:

  • Drain salmon, reserving juices if desired, to use instead of milk.
  • Mix together salmon, chopped celery and green pepper, grated Cheddar cheese, dill, tarragon, pepper and mayonnaise.
  • Roll dough into an 18 x 5-inch (45 x 12-cm) rectangle.
  • Spread dough with salmon mixture, up to 1/2 inch (2.5 cm) from the sides.
  • Starting at larger end, roll dough moisten and seal edge.
  • Shape into a ring arrange ring onto a baking sheet, seam side down.
  • Slit dough into many places brush with reserved salmon juices or milk.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake into an oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown and fluffy.
  • Leave to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
