Ingredients:

  • 1 whole fresh Red Snapper (about 3 pounds) or Sea Bass
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • Italian cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 lemon slices
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1-1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 4-6 Mint leaves, (3 finely chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Baked Red Snapper Italian Style Easy Recipe

How to cook Baked Red Snapper Italian Style:

  • Place the fish in salt water and let it soak for 30 minutes. Wash fish well; rinse and pat dry.
  • Make several slits on each side of the fish.
  • Mix bread crumbs, grated cheese, chopped garlic and 3 finely chopped mint leaves.
  • Stuff the red snapper with the mix, spring with salt and pepper.
  • Grease baking pan with tablespoon of oil and place fish on it.
  • Place in each slit on upturned side 1 small piece of Italian cheese, 1 slice of onion, and 1 mint leaf.
  • Pour tomatoes over fish and arrange 3 thin slices of lemon on top.
  • Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour, basting often. Cover during last 15 minutes of baking.
