Baked Lemon-Garlic Salmon Fillets Recipe.


Salmon is very healthy due to the it's high protein, high Omega-3 fatty acids, and high vitamin D content. Salmon flesh is usually orange to red, but could be white fleshed wild salmon. The natural colour of wild salmon is coming from eating krill and other tiny shellfish. They change the color and a meat quality when entering freshwater.

Baked Salmon Recipe - how to bake (or grill just 7 to 8 minutes per side) salmon fillets marinaded with olive oil, fresh lemon juice, garlic, white balsamic vinegar, sugar, green onions, cilantro, red pepper flakes, and onion powder.

  • 4 Salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Baked Lemon-Garlic Salmon Fillets Recipe

How to cook Baked Lemon-Garlic Salmon Fillets:

  • Wash fillets thoroughly under cold running water.
  • Place them in salt water and let it soak for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse well under cold running water, drain it well.
  • Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Set aside in a baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, balsamic vinegar, sugar, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Pour marinade over salmon fillets cover, and refrigerate overnight, or at least 6 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Place salmon fillets in the aluminum foil and arrange it on a broiling sheet. Place in a preheated oven, and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Increase heat to 500°F, open aluminum foil, turn salmon fillets, and broil another 5 minutes.
