  • 4 Red Snapper fillets (6-8 oz each 1-inch thick)
  • 1 pound of sliced bacon
  • 1 large Vidalia sweet onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 dash soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, Pepper to taste

Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Red Snapper Fillets Easy Recipe

How to cook Bacon Grilled Red Snapper Fillets:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
  • In the fish basket put the layer of bacon.
  • Cover the bacon with a layer of onion rings.
  • Sprinkle snapper fillets with minced garlic, salt and pepper and place them on top of the onion.
  • Cover red snapper fillets with layer of onion, then layer of strips of bacon over the onion.
  • Lightly sprinkle with lemon juice, soy sauce and olive oil and close the fish basket.
  • Place the basket on the hot grill, and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and tender and the bacon is crisp and just cooked through.
  • Remove from grill and open the basket.
  • Place ready fish on top of the plate and serve.
