Hi, got my was 1st fish on the Kamasu. Caught a bunch averaging from 6 to 8 inches. I love fishing
the smallies. This rod is totally different from any other rod i've fished. My rods are all 6:4, 7:3
or even stiffer ones with solid tips. This one, besides being a 5:5, is a hollow tip one. It casts and
feels odd at first but i liked it very much. It is very soft overall with a stiffer tip. So it is able
to cast tight loops with a level line like a 7:3 would do. But when a fish over 8 inches strike the
fly it bends in half like we all expect from a 5:5 rod. This is not a wippy rod by no

loved its action and feel. It is a soft, well balanced rod with good backbone. As soon as i catch any

Thank you so much for such a speedy delivery of the Tenkara Wakata rod. I have to say, the
quality of this rod is quite a bit better than the other three Tenkara rods that I have been using for
the past few years. All three are much longer, two are much stiffer, all are now broken. I just
ordered another outfit from you. This one is the Yokoshima 7:3 10ft. I believe that it will also be
really nice as well, a little stiffer. Just trying to decide which model is going to be better on our
stream before I buy several more. The 10ft. size seems more appropriate here. I look forward to

Hi Alla, sent you pictures i made to test the Hirame 7:3 sensivity. Caught a bunch of small tilapia
averaging from 6 to 8 inches. I know this is a very capable rod and can handle bigger fish but i was
impressed as how responsive it is even with these smallies that put a nice bend down to the 3rd

traditional Japanese style flies, I have some slow soft action poles I use to float fish but they
